Maintenance Tips for Valve Stems
Regular inspections
Conduct routine visual and functional checks for signs of wear, pitting, corrosion, or bending. Pay close attention to areas near the seal interface and threaded sections, which are prone to degradation.
Cleaning procedures
Clean stems periodically using mild soap and water or industry-approved cleaning agents. Avoid abrasive materials that can scratch surfaces and compromise seal integrity. Remove built-up debris, scale, or chemical residues that may impair movement.

Proper lubrication
Apply manufacturer-recommended lubricants to reduce friction and prevent galling, especially on threaded and sliding surfaces. Over-lubrication should be avoided as it can attract contaminants and degrade certain seal materials.
Thread and seal inspection
Examine threads for stripping or damage and replace damaged components promptly. Check O-rings and lip seals for cracking, swelling, or extrusion—replace them at the first sign of deterioration to prevent leaks.
Corrosion protection
