Monel Alloys: The Champions in Seawater & Hydrofluoric Acid
Monel valve Balls are renowned for their unique composition of high nickel (~67%) and high copper (~30%). We offer two primary types:
Monel balls / M400 valve Balls: As a non-heat-treatable wrought alloy, Monel 400 exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance in seawater, salt spray, hydrofluoric and sulfuric acids, and alkaline media. It is the preferred core for critical valves in offshore platforms, shipboard systems, salt chemical industries, and hydrofluoric acid production/handling equipment.
K500 valve Balls: Based on Monel 400 with added aluminum and titanium, it undergoes age-hardening. While maintaining excellent corrosion resistance, it achieves mechanical properties close to high-strength steels (hardness up to HRC 35). Suitable for applications requiring higher strength, wear, and galling resistance, such as deep-well oil extraction and high-load pump valves.

Alloy 20: The Upgraded Solution for Sulfuric Acid Resistance
Alloy 20 valve balls (typically Alloy 20Cb-3) is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper, stabilized with niobium. It offers outstanding resistance to hot sulfuric and phosphoric acids, as well as numerous mixed acid environments containing chlorides and sulfates, particularly resisting pitting and stress corrosion cracking. When 316L stainless steel is inadequate in sulfuric acid environments, Alloy 20 valve balls are the ideal upgrade for chemical, pharmaceutical, and food acid processing industries.
